Enchanted (2007)
The story of a Disney princess who gets sent into real-life New York by an evil queen, Enchanted was a big hit with both the critics and the fans, earning 92 percent on Rotten Tomatoes and $127 million at the box office.
Amy Adams is pitch-perfect in the lead role, and Timothy Spall plays out a fun B-story as an evil manservant who learns the power of self-respect. Silly and outrageous, Enchanted is a bizarre mixture of New York rom-com and Disney fairy tale, but if you really think about it, the combination makes perfect sense. All rom-coms are modern-day fairy tales, stories of improbable love in an impossible landscape — Enchanted just takes that to its literal extreme.
