Up-and-coming Hip-Hop artist Chavz channels the challenges he’s faced into a sound that resonates deep within any listener. His impactful sound of determination and survival has been shaped by personal difficulties and triumphs. Already gaining traction for his numerous videos on Worldstarhiphop.com and newest single with New Jersey artist Pure, Chavz shared some insight on the man behind the mic.

1. In your bio, you were quoted as having “a natural desire to provide,” what does that mean in regards to your music/career/goals?
I want to provide a sound that’s warm to the ear.
2. Does your Dominican background influence the music you create? If not, what factors influence your music?
I think everything in my life influences my music. I love all genres of music so I mix it all in. So yes, my Dominican background does influence my music, somewhat, but again, I love all genres of music.
3. If a fan were to purchase your album, list three other albums they would also purchase.
Illmatic- Nas, My Life- Mary J, Blige, Anything- Sade.
4. What do you feel is the hardest part of creating music?
Trying to hold back and not let it all out.
5. What do you bring to your music genre?
Hopefully a touch of class, a person you can relate to, all gumbo’d up with good music.
